Menon Institute of Legal Advocacy Training (MILAT) is a registered charitable and educational non-profit society based in Kerala and working in Delhi-NCR. It was set up by Prof. Menon's students and well-wishers. MILAT's activities include continuing legal education, citizen education, training, and placement of young law graduates from backward sections of society, research on social justice issues and dissemination of legal information. The institute, in association with Bar Council of India, State Bar Councils and various law schools across the country, conducts professional development training programmes on legal education and legal advocacy for law teachers and advocates serving as a knowledge partner in such initiatives. The training programmes and workshops organized on advocacy, legal education and research have enabled creating a cadre of well-trained lawyers, legal professionals, law teachers and researchers in India. Prof. N.R. Madhava Menon was the First Chairman of MILAT. Prof. (Dr.) S. Sivakumar, Former Member, Law Commission of India/ Senior Professor of Indian Law Institute, is the current honorary chairman of MILAT.
